The sedation works through gas anesthesia, so you’re not fully asleep, but you feel very relaxed and sleepy, and the pain becomes much more manageable.
You do need to fast beforehand, including no water.
Thankfully I hadn’t eaten before the appointment, so I could proceed.
If full sleeping anesthesia equals pain level 0, this honestly felt like maybe 10 out of 100.
I barely felt anything.
During the treatment I only remember thinking:
“My face feels slightly tingly?”
And suddenly the nurse said:
“We’re done.”
Before the procedure, they first removed my makeup, cleansed my skin, and did a lifting care treatment that already made my face feel tighter.
Then they applied numbing cream before starting.
After that:
- IV drip
- Treatment room
- Gas sedation begins
You basically just breathe normally through your mouth.
The staff even told me to think about happy memories during the sedation, so I spent the whole time thinking about my dog Gucci.
I honestly think that made the experience even more relaxing.
The whole procedure took around 20 minutes.
Afterward they cooled my skin again, and I happily went home wearing a hat because my hair was completely messy afterward.
What shocked me most was the result.
I only lost around 1kg because I exercised slightly before my wedding shoot, but everyone kept saying my face looked dramatically smaller.
Even my boyfriend was surprised at how much slimmer and softer my jawline looked.
