Éclat de Cheongdam Clinic is pleased to share that Dr. Park So Yoon delivered a featured lecture at IFFAS 2026 Spring (International Forum of Future Medicine & Aesthetic Surgery), held by the Korean Society of Aesthetic Surgery & Medicine on April 5, 2026 in Seoul.

Her lecture was presented under the title:

Collagen Biostimulation as a New Paradigm in Aesthetic Medicine: Advantages and Comparative Clinical Positioning of Homogeneous Scaffold-Based Liquid-Form PCL

Beyond Microspheres: A Physics-Driven Clinical Comparison of Liquid PCL Biostimulation

In this academic session, Dr. Park explored why modern collagen biostimulators should no longer be understood by ingredient labels alone, but by their material physics, tissue behavior, and clinical positioning. The lecture focused on liquid-form PCL as a distinct scaffold-based injectable platform and discussed how its homogeneous spreadability, diffuse support, and anti-sagging potential may differentiate it from other biostimulators used in aesthetic practice.

The presentation also examined the comparative clinical roles of PDO-based products, PDLLA-based stimulators, CaHA injectables, conventional PCL fillers, and liquid-form PCL, emphasizing that each material serves a different therapeutic purpose depending on the patient’s tissue condition, support loss, and treatment goals.

A key message of the lecture was that liquid-form PCL may represent a shift from particle-based focal correction toward scaffold-based structural rejuvenation. Rather than being approached simply as another “collagen booster,” it may be better understood as a platform for diffuse tissue support, tightening, lifting, and natural volumization.

Dr. Park also addressed the importance of safety interpretation and injector precision, including recent academic discussion on prolonged bruising after liquid-form PCL injection and how this phenomenon may be related to scaffold behavior, pigment retention, and superficial optical effects rather than ongoing bleeding.

The atmosphere at the congress reflected the growing academic interest in regenerative aesthetics, minimally invasive rejuvenation, and structure-based anti-aging strategies. Dr. Park’s participation in this session reflects Éclat de Cheongdam Clinic’s ongoing commitment to combining advanced clinical practice, scientific interpretation, and refined aesthetic judgment.

At Éclat de Cheongdam Clinic, we continue to believe that exceptional aesthetic results come not only from using advanced technologies, but from deeply understanding how materials behave within living tissue — and translating that knowledge into more precise, elegant, and natural outcomes for our patients.
